Grades for SCI3010 class projects/activities: 

As you know, 75% of your grade comes from the three tests, and 25% of your grade comes from your scores on the various class projects. Classes had fron 8 to 10 projects, depending on which class. I adjusted the scores to account for the fact that two classes had fewer projects. Then I listed all the students in order from most to fewest points and divided them into four approximately equal sized groups:  This term the 'below average' group scored under 15 points total on the projects, the 'average' group scored from 16 to 18, the 'better than average group' scored 19 to 22 and the 'much better than average' scored 23 or higher.  So, when I calculate the grade, I count your projects grades as if it was a test where you got the following grade: below average = 70, average = 78 , better than average = 85 and much better than average = 92.
