Church of the Mediator Providence. This is a church (or something similar), that often is rented by performers for local concerts. It is a very friendly and welcoming group/site and has hosted numerous good music sessions, but somewhat irregularly and with -- in my experience -- really almost nonexistent PR or publicity. Hey, everyone isn't good at everything! :-) Try to check it out and see if you can catch Hatfield-McCoy playing gospel/jazz/old timey or some of the other great acts...  The Mediator is at 50 Rounds St... that's just a short distance north up Reservoir Ave from Route 10 in Providence.  (get a map  MapQuest )
